LG Unveils Multifunctional Projectors at CES 2024
LG is set to showcase two innovative “lifestyle projectors” at the upcoming CES 2024, promising to blend entertainment with stylish home decor. These all-in-one devices prioritize aesthetics, offering a unique blend of projection capabilities, audio performance, and ambient lighting options.
The PF600U stands out as a versatile 3-in-1 solution, combining a Full HD projector with a Bluetooth speaker and a stylish floor lamp. Weighing in at 16 pounds 8 ounces (7.5kg), this portable projector boasts an LED lamp that illuminates in nine colors and five brightness levels, enhancing the ambiance of any room. Equipped with two integrated speakers (specifications pending), the PF600U delivers a multi-sensory experience. Its 110-degree tilting head with automatic screen adjustment simplifies setup and ensures optimal viewing angles. However, with a brightness output of 300 ANSI lumens, the projected image may appear washed out in environments with significant ambient light.
The CineBeam S (model PU615U), a remarkably compact ultra-short throw projector, packs a powerful punch. Measuring just 4.3 x 6.3 x 6.3 inches, this device can project a massive 4K image from a mere inches away, ideally onto an Ambient Light Rejection (ALR) screen. Powered by a laser (RGB) light source, the CineBeam S delivers a brighter 500 ANSI lumen image, though it may still struggle in well-lit rooms. To enhance the audio experience, this projector incorporates integrated stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.
While LG has yet to reveal pricing, release dates, or regional availability, these intriguing projectors are sure to generate excitement at CES 2024.
